At this time we only accept payment by credit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard, or AMEX. Pre-paid credit cards can be purchased from your local post office if you do not own one yourself. Unfortunately at this stage we do not accept PayPal as a method of payment (but we’re working on it!).

When you purchase from our website(s), you may go through these steps:

  • Cart Registration
    • To purchase a product, and to make any relevant discount appear in the shopping cart, you will need to register an account with Wiley. To do this, firstly add your chosen product to the cart. Now select the ‘Checkout’ button. Simply fill in your billing information and click ‘Continue Secure Checkout’. The next screen will ask you confirm your email address and password to continue creating the account, and from there you can proceed with providing payment information. Your account information is completely secure, as is any information transmitted when you use your credit card to shop at Wiley Australia Online.
  • My Cart
    • All products selected for purchase are added to your ‘Cart’ for review before payment. The total purchase price, excluding handling and freight charges, is displayed in Australian dollars, GST inclusive, unless otherwise stated. All prices are subject to change without notice. For more information on additional charges, see the Shipping and Returns section.
    • At this step, you are notified of the availability of requested purchases and you will be required to approve any backorders before continuing the purchase process. For more information on backorders, see the Shipping & Returns section.
  • Payment
    • The Payment step for an online order displays:
      • Order delivery information as per the registered account details.
      • The total amount to be transacted including applicable handling and shipping charges and less any backordered titles.
    • At this step, you are required to enter details of the credit card to be transacted in the purchase. Your credit card details are validated before continuing to the Receipt step in an online purchase.
  • Receipt
    • The final step in an online purchase is the Receipt. At this step, you will receive an order reference number and summary of your purchase(s). Order confirmation details and a tax invoice will also be sent to the account’s email address.

Shipping information: Orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Brisbane, usually within 2 working days of your order being received. Delivery times within Australia will depend on your distance from Brisbane and can vary from approximately 3 to 12 working days.

All deliveries are made using Australia Post Parcel Post service. A signature will be required. If you are not home to sign for the parcel, Australia Post will leave a card in your letter box asking you to collect it from your local post office. A tracking number will be shown on your shopping cart account once it has been dispatched.

Deliveries to overseas destinations (including New Zealand) will be made by your local National Postal Service, cannot be tracked and are outside of Wiley’s control – please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery.

John Wiley & Sons Australia is not responsible if the parcel is lost in transit.

Overseas deliveries may attract a local customs charge, levy or other taxes upon entry into your country. John Wiley & Sons Australia is not responsible for these charges.

NOTE: As of 10th July 2019, all orders of print textbooks via Wiley Direct will receive free shipping! No promo code necessary, the shipping cost will be removed automatically during the check-out process. This promotion is effective as of 10th July 2019 and may only last for a limited time.

All prices shown on the Wileydirect.com.au website are in Australian dollars. The price shown is the final price for both Australian and New Zealand orders. Australian prices are shown inclusive of GST, and New Zealand prices are shown in AUD but exclusive of all taxes.

The price for NZ customers is not reduced further because it already excludes GST. For example, if the price shown on the Wiley Direct website is AUD $65 then if you are in New Zealand, the price shown on your credit card will be AUD $65 converted to NZD by your bank. Depending on the exchange rate, this could be NZD $70.

Wiley cannot give you the exact conversion rate as this depends on the exchange rate at the time and any additional conversion charges added on by your bank.
